My background is in carpentry and one of my favorite past times is making polyhedra. You will not see any oragami here, only solid woods and no plywood or veniers. The three areas of my gallery represent about 20 years of interest and many hours of anguish, frustration, and most of all enjoyment!
All the images on these pages were taken by me and have been manipulated in some manner to more accruately represent the color and characteristics of the wood. Nothing has been over emphasized so as to produce an un-natural look. One particular species of wood that is very difficult to photograph is "purple heart" from South America. It's hue and tonal qualities change quite a bit with the ambient light source.
